Update 2

Guilds and ranked

Update 2 added both, and the live game name changed to say so. Ranked removes your ability to choose the map or your side, which changes what a good army even looks like.

Ranked rules

A ranked loadout that works

This is the loadout one creator ran in ranked, presented as a template rather than a law. It maps cleanly onto the four jobs our army builder solver looks for.

Your first ranked session

Expect the first few matches to be messy, because everyone starts at the bottom of the ladder at once. Use them to answer two questions rather than to climb. First: when you get handed the defender role, does your army actually hold a point, or does it melt the moment the enemy commits? Second: when you get the attacker role on a map with no cover, can you reach their ranged units at all? The slot you end up changing after those two matches is almost always the right one to change, and it is rarely the slot you expected.

Why ranked changes your army

In casual play you know which side you are on before you choose. Ranked removes that: the map is drawn from the pool and your side is assigned on entry, so a loadout tuned for defending a chokepoint can be handed an open field and an attacker role. The consequence is that single purpose units lose value and generalists gain it, which is the opposite of what most casual lobbies teach you.

The other difference is length. Ranked is a single round rather than a series, so a slow, scaling army never gets the time it needs. Do not bring a composition that only wins once everything is upgraded: bring something that works from the first contact, accept that one of your four slots is a compromise, and spend the star budget on covering jobs rather than on upgrading one favourite.

Guilds

Single source, flagged: One creator showed a guild of 827 members that ranked first at the time it was shown (Noctis Imperialis). That is a creator report, not an official leaderboard, and it should not be read as ranking fact.

One source mentions nine ranked tiers, but no public source lists the tier names or the thresholds attached to them, so this site does not publish a rank table.

Ranked FAQ

How does a ranked match work?
It is a single round on a randomly picked map, and you are assigned attacker or defender on entry. Since you cannot choose either, the winning habit is bringing an army that works in both roles.
What is the best ranked loadout?
An anchor such as Spartan or Spear Vanguard, an anti-archer pick such as Lancer, a Fire Archer, and a flex slot you fill to match your own style.
Where do I start on the ladder?
At the bottom, reported as Warrior 1, with everyone else starting there too - so early matches are noisy. No public source lists the full tier table, so we do not publish one.
What do guilds actually give me?
A shared roster and identity. The official Pro pass lists increased guild capacity, custom guild emblems and 20 extra guild roles, which is the only guild benefit with an official description.
